The Bunker Doors Empty

When one does take the correct path through the ice caves, it eventually opens into a corridor not of stone and ice, but of reinforced steel, neon lights, and robust security, ending at the bunkers blast doors.

The Bunker Doors 2_zpsccf02bd2

These doors are large enough to allow though the heaviest machinery, and sturdy enough to withstand just about any bombardment mankind or BOWs can throw at it. To pass this door, one must posess the not only all 7 access codes (one for each of the individually programmed harmonically sealed lockpeices), but also all three physical access keys for the hard locks, and one must also have their fingerprint and retina scan data inside the security systems prior to entry being given. As an additional security measure, Edgar programmed the automated defence systems to terminate any intruders should they not proceed to enter the required access information within 20 seconds of crossing the threshhold of the ice caves and into the corridor. This prevents any tampering with the security systems such as setting explosives or hardline hacking at the terminals. The time limit is increased by 10 seconds upon each successfully entered peice of required information, until all access is either obtained, or denied, and if for any reason access is denied even once, the defences will then activate immediately.

Edgar himself created this security system to replace the aging pre Cold War security entrance measures. The doors are 7 feet thick, and reinforced multiple times over to prevent blasting or cutting. Multiple automated defences including laser mesh netting and several dozen weapon turrets slaved to the security computer provide defence against intruders, the ground is mined everywhere and will arm once the time limit expires.

As Edgar and Sasa came out of the ice caves and approached the beginning of the metal flooring and strobe lighting, Edgar said "Wait here" before Sasa could step onto the metal plating.

Edgar continued onwards, then in a burst of speed, me moved the 50 or so meters down the corridor and arrived at the set of terminals by the door. with telekinesis he simultaneously input the codes into the 7 different codepad terminals, and levidated the 3 access keys from his hand, slotting them into the remaining 3 terminals. Once all 9 lights became green, a final terminal, like a large orb on a ganglieon attached to a pylon came up from the ground. it had an eyepeice at the middle, and two handprint screens on either side. Edgar leaned his face into the eyepeice, and pressed his hands against the hand scanners. After a moment, the light above this terminal also turned green, and the locks all disengaged, slowly, the massive doors began to slide open, while all the terminals receeded into the ground, along with the deployed automated defences.

Edgar turned around and motioned for Sasa to come.

The Count observes and smiles. "Here I thought I was paranoid." he chuckles and walks calmly down the metal plated flooring. Soon he was at Edgar's side. "This the only entrance door? Or is this just wave one?" he asked in a joking manner.

Edgar smiled, and replied truthfully. "No, this is the only way into the bunker, and the bunker is the only way to reach what is below... And yes, there are many security checkpoints, but the way we are going, there is only one that has more stringent screening, but by the time we get there, you will see why I have the measures in place." it was a cryptic, if somewhat ominous response.

(OOC: next is the entryway)
