As the caves fade away into the vast expanse, one can see down into the multi kilometer cavity in the earth down below. At the bottom exists a unique ecosystem, rivers, trees,flora and fauna abounds under a dome of earth and ice, protected for nobody knows how long from the outside world. And it is here that Edgar Holden secretly brought back the City he had sent back into the past. Edward City was brought back here. Into this unique environment. Unfortunately, the people he had sent back with the city where all gone... Dead, or missing.

Edgar set about the proccess of rebuilding and expanding the city, and for 13 long years, his work was done, and it took all of his scientific knowlege, and all his superhuan powers to accomplish this feat.

this is the view just about from the overlook should one focus entirely on the city itself, the overall geofont is many many times the size.

Edward City Overview

A- COMMAND HUB.
The main command and control complex for the entire city rests here. This impressive structure houses the City Command Station, Council Chambers, Parlament House, as well as all military command and control. The main power grid for the city is also housed beneath this structure.

B- AIR DEFENCE COMPLEX.
Anti air defense base is here. Designed to intercept incoming aerial threats as well as missile and bomb interception.

C- MEDICAL CENTRE.
Basically put, this is the primary hospital complex. All manner of medical aid, surgery, and medical research is done here.

D- SECURITY HQ/PRISON.
This is the security headquarters and prison compound.

E- CENTRAL ARCHIVE/RESEARCH BASE.
The main laboratory complex, research districts and library are located here.

F- MAINTENANCE HUB/DRY DOCKS.
Essentially this is the primary shipbuilding and maintenance district, but it also serves as the major cargo hauling port for when the rail system simply cannot handle the massive cargo loads that needs shipping.

G- AERODROME/LAUNCH FACILITY.
The primary airport and airbase ofr the city. It is capable of receivingany aircraft known, including from helicopters to large passenger planes and military aircraft of all kinds.

H- BARRACKS/DEFENSE POST.
The first point of contact when entering the city is this massive security and defense post. It also contains the primary military barracks for the city to enable swift action upon unauthorised infiltrators that manage to get this far.

I- TEMPLE.
Although Edgar himself is not religious, he recognises the need for a building such as this for those who are. Edgar himself moved much of the templar shrines and other artifacts from the bunker topside, and has since catered to as many religeous practices as he could practically do in a single place of worship.

J- RADAR STATION/COMMUNICATIONS BASE.
The main detection and communications facility of the city.

K- OBSERVATORY.
Deep space observation facility.

L- GUARDIAN FACILITY
A large and imposing guardian facility and launch site. This is another defence district designed to react to threats within the city itself.

M- ENGINEERING/RESEARCH CENTRE.
For the more practical hans on research, this facility caters to all kinds of mechanical, electronic and computer research.

N- TIDAL MONITORING STATION.
A water level and todal monitoring station designed to relay the information back to the command hub. Also used to detect underwater incursions.

O- METEORLOGICAL STATION.
Houses the weather monitoring equipment.

P,Q- EMBASSY COMPLEXES.
Since Edward City is no longer a part of any one nation, Embasy complexes have been erected to house the diplomats of other nations should they prove needed.

R- THE HANDY BRIDGE.
This eight lane highway serves as the sole point of arrival across the River. It can submerge beneath the river to defend the city.

S- CONSTRUCTION YARDS
Primary structure fabrication area.

T- FIRESTATION.
Base of operations for the city's contingient of fire fighters. They are permanently ready to react in case of fire, be it in the city or anywhere within the geofront.

U- EMERGENCY LANDING PAD.
Privides direct access to the medical facilities and further treatement facilities beneath the surface.

V- HEADLAND FOREST.
A dense section of woodland that surrounds the city and covers the rest of the headland in the northern section of the Geofront.

THINGS NOT SEEN FROM THE SURFACE:

The undergound residential districts, shopping areas, factory and warehouse districts, primary power core, 3rd energy facility, chronosphere and much much more.

The cart exited the mouth of the crystal cave, atop the hills on the southern end of the 30 mile wide and 7 mile high dome of the Geofront. This massive hill overlooked the jewel of construction in the center of this masive underground echosystem.

Edgar stopped the cart atop the hill overlook, and turned to Sasa.

"Look... down there.... This geofront is the fruits of my labour..."

Outwardly, the tall Count did not seem to react.
However inside...he looked over the marvel that
Edgar alone had created. "Rome was not
Built in one day..." He stated at first.
"How did you manage to build this under
Templar and Assassin's noses?" he turns to the other man,
his face remaining neutral yet.

"I didn't. That was the beauty of it. I only excavated this cavity, and began construction after James dissapeared and I broke free... it took me almost 13 years to complete. Far faster than human construction would allow, but my superhuman speed and strength made it possible, and my scientific knowlege made things smoother..."

"Mmhmm." he hums, turning to face the city again. "Quite intriguing...then how did this city get here..." he didn't quite ask. "I guess that is another mystery." he says walking up to the rail, placing his black gloved hand onto it. "Quite a charming civilization built beneath the most uninhabited continent in the planet...very good."

Edgar looked over at the younger man.

"I'll tell you a secret then... This city, was not always here... Tell me, do you remember the city that suddenly vanished around the same time as the Raccoon outbreak?"

He shook his head. "No...at that time I was simple Edonian Street Thug. When your that poor, you don't really care about what goes on in the outside world, only concern for what happens in your 'own world'." he says in response, looking down a little. His upbringings were not a memory he personally liked. Nor did he really like to talk about it. But in the end, that life helped shape his future one, his current life tenfold.

Edgar smiled slightly, so he merely continued without prying.

"Well, Edward City, at the time of the Raccoon outbreak, was the site of another experiment. Dr. Kirk was researching renewable energy sources, and invented the Third Energy theorum. In Edward City, he tested his work, which resulted in an unbeleivable event, he cronoshifted the entire city 65 million years into Earth's past." Edgar began the tale.

"Kirk was a colleague of James and I, and once I perfected my own Chronosphere technolgy on the eve of Hell's invasion, I contacted him... And we formed a plan once I explained the situation in the present to him. We formed a contingency, should the Hell Hoard prove successful in their invasion plans... That plan was to send as much of the human population back through time to Edward City to escape the Hoard. But then... the Rockfort Incident occured, and I was trapped in the bunker above us... I lost contact with Kirk, and when I re-emerged, I had discovered that he and his contingent had been killed by the creatures of the pre-historic past. In order to preserve the plan, I reactivated the Chronosphere, and linked it with Kirk's 3rd energy reactor, and brought Edward City here, where I could rebuild and fortify it." Ed finished the tale in short order.

Any other human would have laughed. But since he and his Templars did not only know, but had seen the truth, there story did not seem outlandish in the slightest. "I see...then this makes sense completely." he then stands tall again, adjusting his glasses. "Quite impressive from this angle...how many residents currently live here, or when you meant that I am the only person you've brought here...that this place is currently a ghost town."

Edgar nodded "it is devoit of life right now, as I said, you are the first human who has ever laid eyes upon it. But that will change, when 'She' makes her move..."

And with that said, Edgar resumed the train cars course, they where heading towards the very large and long bridge over the lake, towards the very large city gates upon the far side.

"One of the reasons I brought you here is to show you why your war in Edonia is ultimately a pointless battle... Soon, a war of magnitues unmatched will face all of humanity together... and you will either all stand together, or fall seperately... That is the choice that is ultimately before you... I... am not long for this world anymore..." edgar said, the last part with some semblance of melancholy.

The Count nods. "That may be impossible...I may be a different Templar than my predecessors...No, to be honest I'm downright betraying many of my Brotherhood's laws. I am sure there is no...'reuniting' with those pernicious fools and there Creed." he says with a sigh. "I cannot even be sure I could strike a treaty with them...they'd likely think it would be a trap. The same goes for us, in the past they tried to make a truce with us, but both sides were to blame for not accepting. Both were paranoid, and decided not to bring the issue up again." he says with another sigh.

Edgar leaned back again.

"And this is why I mentioned earlier about the premise of 'choice' and it's subjective nature. I don't know when it will happen, may be after the latest outbreaks will finish up, so she can catch us when we are recovering, could be a hundred years from now... But when it happens, you will find yourselves shoulder to shoulder with those you once considered enemies. And the reason why that is so becomes clear... it is because, deep down, you know that you are all humans... And fellow humans can only be enemies among eachother in relative terms... you hate eachother not because of a natural hatred, but because of subjective judgement. And those hatreds change with time and exposure to other factors, such as the thesis of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" or the more primal" he is human, I am human, our enemy is not". the most basic instinct of the human animal is survival and procreation... And you will soon find that, in the end, survival of the species takes precedence over personal distaste..." Edgar explained the situation he is trying to protect against.

He chuckled. "Sure, tell that to my ancestors. We've been fighting longer than any other. Not a matter of hundreds of years, but thousands." he turns to Edgar and then back to the city. "C'mon. Show me around your town..."
