Catherine's Bedroom

Cat, after locking the door, turns around to the large expanse that was her room. It was surrounded by windows from either her left or right, allowing her a beautiful almost 360degree view of her island. She didn't really have to worry about privacy, the only one who lived in this house was herself alone, and hardly any of her own privately funded men and women ever venture up this way unless she invited them. Even her future successor, Leon Tamer wouldn't come up here unless she bidded him to..then again he has been running the show more or less down in the ''town'' below. An Island owned by former Mercenaries, cutthroats, spies and assassins...more importantly soldiers. How Big Boss would have been proud. She turns towards her walk in wardrobe and tosses the towel aside into a basket before grabbing a bikini top and slipped it across her breasts. She then slipped on a pair of short shorts and buckled them on before heading back into her room, sitting behind the desk where a super thin monitor greeted her and a white keyboard awaited her response. She activates the console, and begins to search for any emails, messages, notices and generally catching up to what was happening in the outside world.

One particular email, sent by someone only known as "Darkstorm Zero" would catch Catherine's eye.

If and when she chose to open it, the message would read.

"Catherine,
I have the person we discussed with me here in E City 7 years ago. Click the link below, and I will establish an audio-visual uplink



I just began scanning him now, he is requesting blood samples from me, and tried negotiating with an undoctored version of the film, just as you suspected he would. I am about to initiate a chrono particle scan to see if he will become a threat. Please respond.
Edgar."

She stared at the small icon, and after considering whether or not she should left click it, but after much deliberation she hastily activates it.

On screen there was a young man, sitting in a chair cross legged and asking if any of this was necessary. She continues to observe him with the eyes of a hawk, taking note of his expensive suit and his cool, yet impatient demeanor.

At first, what Edgar was saying made little sense...then like flush of inspiration, she remembered again. She begins to type back:

"He is definitely a member of the Family. Further observation, however, is needed to establish full capabilities."

With that she hears a small beeping and turns her attention to the left of the console. A red bleep came upon the radar, stating 'Unknown Aircraft' crossing the threshhold of her island. She turns towards her right and stares out the window. A cypher was hovering towards her home and this was quite an odd appearance of such an outdated UAV type surveillance system. "It's not the Royal Australian Air Force again is it?" she thinks to herself of her, as of late, 'nosy neighbors'." She stands up from her seat and walks towards the window, sliding one of the glass panes open.

It was still a great deal away, and she turns towards her left, grabbing her SAKO sniper rifle and took up a kneeling aim. After leveling the aim dead center to it's propulsion system she thinks briefly: "They can buy another in-expensive toy..." she then pulls the trigger:

-BANG!

She lowers her aim and watches the small craft smoke and then spiral down into the jungle before exploding somewhere on her property. She sighs, leaning her rifle back against the wall she heads back to the console casually to see if Ed had returned a message.

"I've already began the chronoton scan, we should be getting the results shortly. I'll switch to live comm, it's better than communicating via e.mail. Such an inefficient system." Edgar typed in a few commands, and a live image of Catherine appeared on his screen. simultaneously, an image of edgar at the workstation appeared in the corner of the feed from Sasa's chamber.

"It is good to see you again..."

Cat grinned and leaned back in her seat. "You say that as if we haven't seen each other in years Ed." she says stretching back in her seat, her hair still a little unkempt and damp from her shower. "But I agree, this is better than just sending texts back and forth." she finished with a slight chuckle.

She looks back at the man in the seat and asks Ed: "So...where did you pick him up?"

His face seemed to go dark as he looked at something off-screen.

"Cat... Why do you have a ship decloaking off your islands eastern coast?" he suddenly asked.

"Huh, kept you on your toes, huh?" she asked with a grin.

She cocked an eyebrow and looked passively at the radar. Indeed, a large vessel, likely a battleship, was in range of her waters. Funny how it had not been there earlier. She blinked and then turned to Ed. "Yeah, that can explain the Cipher that was flying around; I don't think you have to worry Eddy-it's likely the 'neighbors' spying on me again. The Australian Self Defense Force have been doing that more often as of late." She says with out much care. "Regardless, I'll check into it." She said standing up.

She cocked an eyebrow and found the scene unsettling. "Oh...Shit." she mouthed, backing away from her seat, and taking a sharp turn off screen. She headed back into her wardrobe, removing her bikini and short shorts, tossing them back, one of the said articles of clothing the bra, landed upon the corner of her seat while she changed inside the wardrobe. "Nothing to worry yourself about Ed, I'm sure I can handle this...Though I do regret turning down his offer last month..." she says with a slightly forced nervous chuckle.

"What offer? Cat, whats going on? You are not seriously considering going into battle with them as you are now, are you?" Edgar said, even as he started typing in further commands, and preparing to send some big time backup.

Rustling in the closet paused briefly, ignoring the first question she answered with: "No, I don't plan to fight...I plan to negotiate. But I have procedures to ensure we'll be safe. As it is, Tamer's likely already got the boys down there assembled. I'll be fine, I've handled myself in the past Ed." she says with a more lighter tone. A zipping sound is made, and she comes back out, slipping on her gloves and a thigh holster. She turned to the camera and it revealed a blackish purple suit that was, for the most part, unzipped all the way down to just above her bikini line around the rim of her pelvis. Her breasts swayed within the tightened supports, but nothing slipped out. "I'll be fine." She smiled. She pulled out her P018 and made sure it was loaded before sliding it into her holster.

She sighed shaking her head left to right but remained grinning. "I will, mother..." she says in a sarcastic manner but she knew he meant well. "I'll let you know if anything else happens." she says waving to the screen before she shuts the console down. Turning around she heads for the bed and takes the com in the foot locker before narrowing here eyes slightly. "Wait a minute...what the hell Ed, you could KNOCK first!" she hissed under her breath. She slips the comm onto her right wrist and snapped it on tight. She then turned back and grabbed a blu-tooth ear piece. "Tamer, whats the situation?" she asked, walking out of her room, her heeled steps clicking upon the hardwood floor.

On the other end, her successor answered suspiciously: "I don't know who they are. They have no markings on their ship, but it's definitely military grade. I have to say though, those on board are certainly 'well equipped'." at this, Catherine made a slight irritated look and then rolled her eyes. "Get your head out of your ass Tamer. Is everyone armed and ready in a worst case scenario?" she asked.
"Heh, yeah. Everyone's armed to the teeth down here. Our firepower definitely matches their armor piercing capabilities. But damn, what did we do this time?" he asked.

Cat lowered her eyes again, but looked more guilty. "It's...Complicated."

Tamer gasped. "You know something that we don't, do you?"

"Again. It's complicated." she finished. "I'll meet with you at the beach head. Don't go rambo on me unless I give you the order, got that?" She says descending her stair case. She was halfway into the elevator when she heard him say 'roger' back. The doors slid shut and the elevator began to descend.
