Cathedral Entrance/Exit

Security guards still unbeknownst to the threat that was riding up the elevator, sat around rather lax. There hadn't been any negative contact coming from this facility for nearly eight months. Simply put: Nothing bad happened here. The guards on this level had barely seen a firing range let alone a loose specimen or a stumbling citizen from above. The exit/entrance they were guarding lead into the Cathedral's Catacombs and then to the Graveyard. Again, unless the dead could rise from the grave, this patrol unit was as ''dead'' as a graveyard.

With a ping the lift arrived and the doors opened revealing a bloodbath within, the partially digested body of a researcher lay slumped on the floor of the elevator beside her lay the body of a female security guard still clutching her mp5. The walls of the lift where sprayed with blood and the ceiling hung down torn apart seemingly by whatever had killed the two women. The guard groaned "Help me" she strained trying to raise a hand towards her fellow security operatives.

TBQ lay on the floor of the lift watching as her latest victims moved closer.

TBQ lay on the floor of the lift watching as her latest victims moved closer.

Two of the soldiers turned and their faces became pale and one cursed: "SHIT! Call a medic!" he ordered, running over to the scene with his partner backing him up. The others who didn't move were on their radios or simply staring. Nothing bad ever happened in this unit..one had thought.

The guard who gave the orders slid beside the injured guard, picking her up using his shoulder. "Fuck, stay with me-your gonna be alright." he says while the other gawks at the remains of the scientist. "Shit man, I think thats that Chinese chick from down stairs!" The other man rolls his eyes. "Jesus, she was Japanese. Don't you know you can offend people talking that way?" he says as he pulls the injured guard out. The other just stood there a moment longer staring down at her, pulling up the ID which had said Takiyama. "Well in this state I don't really think she's gonna be offended Randy."

They placed the woman on a couch, and waited for the medics to show up. The others who previously did nothing walked to the elevator. "Jesus Christ....what the hell can cut through steel like that?!" one of them gawked.

The wounded guard suddenly and without warning spawned into a mass if thick black tendrils, they ripped the two closest guards apart before they could even cry out, then shot towards the two who were still staring at the horror scene in the lift. Simultaneously the blood lining the lift walls changed colour turning black and throwing itself at the two guards!
TBQ was becoming stronger with each kill soon she would be fully operational, her primary systems had already re-booted and her secondary functions had begun to come online.

The soothing voice that had awakened the Black Queen earlier spoke once more, inside.

"You are making excellent progress my child. Remember, once you escape the laboratories, you must play the role of a human being and make sure your abilities remain hidden from the public view. If you are discovered, it will cause a panic that can cost many innocent people their lives, and create the perfect camouflage for our enemies to disappear. That cannot happen... Find a safe sanctuary until your memories are recovered. Then, I will find you, and fulfil my oath to you."

The voice fell silent again, but the feeling of his presence remained.

She listened to the voice and agreed with its summation of the situation, for now TBQ would co-operate with Edgar, at least for as long as they seemed to share a common enemy and a common goal.

TBQ didn't want to risk discovery by copying one of the people she'd killed escaping from the lab. She looked at the bodies littering the guard room, no to copy one of these would be a mistake and would risk exposure. She searched her memory files.

Most of her data files had still to reload but she had located one, the file itself was compromised but it contained enough information to form an avatar.

And with that she changed....

The woman walked out of the catacombs and strode confidently through the graveyard her short dark bob of hair swaying with her easy graceful stride. One of the local priests who often came to the cemetery to pray crossed himself when he saw her. Dressed as she was in a tight fitting short black dress and heels she looked like she was a hooker or a trophy wife mourning the passing of a rich husband before moving on to find another. TBQ stopped in front of the priest.

"Bless me father, for I have sinned" She looked surprised at herself for even saying those words, before turning from the priest and heading towards the park she needed to find a secluded area away from prying eyes. The priest watched her leave, cursing himself for the immoral thoughts that ran through his mind. It was strange though, the woman had reminded him of someone he'd met fifteen or sixteen years earlier. He'd been a young priest in service at the Vatican when he'd seen her, but no it couldn't be the same woman, that was so long ago and she hadn't changed at all. With a sudden chill he rose and scurried back to the cathederal he didn't know why he was so afraid but he knew he had to tell the bishop!
