B22 Lab: The Secondary Lift

Michiko stands inside the elevator, the silence is broken by the echoing sounds of gunfire which seem to come from someplace below. She blinks, stepping away from the doors she looks down at her feet. "What the hell was that? Did another specimen escape?" she says under her breath, biting her lower lip. While the elevator continues to climb to the surface, the scientist lowers her self and then presses her ear against the floor, listening intently for any other sounds. The gunfire was abrutply interrupted by what sounded like the prying of metal, and that had seemed to be where the other lift beside the one she was in would have been. She adjusts her glasses and pulls herself up from the floor. "Perhaps..it was only my imagination...that and it being late out..." she says to herself with a loud yawn.

The lift shock and echoed with a loud clang like metal hitting metal as TBQ impacted with the bottom of it, denting the floor upwards and causing the body of the lift to rise on it's cables before dropping back a few inches. The black mass oozed around the outside of the compartment before rising to the top of the elevator and standing in the darkness. Something below caught her attention and black eyes turned to look down at the lift car below her. Movement! It was occupied!

Takiyama stifles a small gasp of surprise, the dent that rose in the floor and then the violent shaking of the lift startled her. She hears movement above her and turns around-her back against the double doors. She looks to the ceiling and feels her lungs tightening. "Oh God...what on earth was that?" she shakily says out loud, gulping. Her heart rate begins to rise, and the pounding heart and her heaving chest vibrated against the metal doors. "What should I do?" she thinks...then remebers the small .38 she carried in her lab coat, and she quickly pulls it out and aims it at the ceiling, thumbing back the hammer with a click.

The sound of the gun cocking reached TBQ's ears or at least the sensory cells that passed for ears in her case.

And with that she ripped open the roof of the elevator and dropped inside, She landed at the opposite side from the woman in the lab coat her black eyes taking in the scientist and her feeble weapon. TBQ hated Umbrella staff, it was confusing for her since she hadn't been programmed to feel it was simply a side effect from fusing the T-virus with Bio-tech circuitry.

For a moment she only stood there, holding the now useless weapon. She simply froze, pale and wide eyed behind her glasses, her mouth slighly agape while she stared at the ebony eyed woman. "P-puh-please..." she managed, her arms shaking, her knees buckling. In her shaking moments the gun went off and a .38 hallow point slammed into the blackeyed woman, the explosive sound of the weapon made Michiko scream.

The shot triggered TBQ's attack, thick tendrils shot across the gap between her and the scientist wrapping around her prey holding her in a grip like steel cables. Then the nanite monstrosity revealed her true form surging forward like a giant black amoeba it engulfed the woman. Thick viscous liquids splashed over the scientist as TBQ's nanites began to strip her away on an organic level.

In a split second the gun clattered to the floor and everything went from being dry and bright, to black and oozy as the creature absorbed her into its core. She tried to shake free, tried her best to resist, but the creature's grip was way too strong, and she was engulfed screaming. Occassionaly her arm would jut out or her face would try to pry its self out while the nanites fed off her. She screamed and wiggled in the amoeba like beast, trying to plead for it not to kill her, meanwhile already her clothes were bypassed and her orphices were being explored by the black tendrils. Her right arm juts out, reaching for the panic button on the side console of the lifts control pannel, stretching out defiantly in an attempt to grasp the emergency call button.

TBQ's tendrils wrapped around the woman sliding into her pushing nanites deeper inside her with every second. She let her fingers stretch mere inches from the panic button, allowing her a sense of hope but never letting her quite reach the button. The woman's skin would already be tingling as nanites stripped away layer after layer. The gloop TBQ poured down her throat would already be filling her lungs and stomach the scientist couldn't possibly last much longer, but in the meantime TBQ savoured her suffering and took pleasure from her vengeance.

The tingling sensation was becoming more painful now that her stomach felt heavy and her lungs tightened up. Her vision was bluring and her screaming seized, only an expression of fear upon her rippling face. The nanites having a field day with her body, she felt her finger tips glaze the button with a trail of ooze that almost resembled saliva. She would touch it again and again, but the nanites within her wouldn't give her the strength to push it...wouldn't allow her to. "No, I can't die like this..I-I-I-I-I didn't deserve-!" her paniced mind groped, her neck pushing her head partway out of the ameboa-like structor, but not fully piercing through; like a plastic bag wrapped around her face, the outline of her head was embossed upon the Black Queens body. Her hand continued to claw at the button while her gasps and gurgles were quickly quieting down.

She held the woman inside her until she died, her lifeless body floating in the thick black slime. Then she dropped her partially digested remains to the elevator floor and lent back against the side casually riding the car towards the surface.

The steaming mess of a partially white-partially bloody looking skull smiled up at TBQ, still in the oozy if not a bit tattered remains of her labcoat. Michiko's lower jaw unhinged and rolled into her ribcage while those partially empty sockets seemed to still 'stare' in the direction of the creature that ate her. An employee ID seemed to have survived the digestion process, gleamed from the breast pocket of the slimy white lab coat.
